Fees and Insurance

Most of my practice is self-pay as I am an out-of-network provider for insurance panels.

As my fee is occasionally adjusted, please call me to discuss my current fee. I encourage you to let me know if my fee is prohibitive as a limited number of sliding scale scholarships are available.

If your health insurance carrier allows you to choose an out-of-network provider, as most PPO plans do, I can bill your insurance carrier directly. In that case, you are responsible for the balance of my fee. You may want to check with your insurance company to verify coverage for out-of-network providers and for rates of reimbursement.

“It’s not only children who grow. Parents do too. As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours. I can’t tell my children to reach for the sun. All I can do is reach for it, myself.”
Joyce Maynard

“In my early professionals years I was asking the question: How can I treat, or cure, or change this person? Now I would phrase the question in this way: How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his own personal growth?” –Carl Rogers,
From On Becoming a Person, 1961
